Hi there,
What exactly is wrong? Give me the whole story. Lets see if we can get it right.

I have mine set up with a 5 level rack on OutPut 1 and two separate cages on top on Output two (which works fine). The issue is with output 1. All of my levels from the top down are stable at 88 - 89 degrees, except the bottom level which reads at 81 - 83 with my heat gun. I have Output1 set on 89.5 and ambent temp is 85 - 88 degrees. I talked to spyder robotics and they said to move my probe, which was on the 3rd level (starting fromt he top) So it is now on the 4th tub. I checked the heat tape by unpluging it and doing a direct connection to an outlet to make sure it worked and it is just fine. I just cant seem to get my bottom shelf to match the other levels at 88-89 degrees. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Nate

Hi Nate,
A similar thing happened to me. We actually found that the level that was not heating correctly was due to our heat tape. We had to re due the connections, and re solder the heat tape to the new connectors. We also pluged in our heat tape to a direct outlet, and it did heat, but dont forget that the Herp Stat is a variable electronic thermostat, which means it doesnt feed too much electricity to the outlets it is connected to. If the connections of the heat tape are poor, or not fully secure, not all electricity will pass freely to the heat tape, thus not enough juice. Just a thought, put a new piece down, or check and re due your connections. We just did it to give it a shot, and it worked.

What seems to be the problem? Explain your setup a little and I will see if I can give any advice.
