$2000 golf clubs

howlinwolf Mar 31, 2006 01:27 PM

I have been reading all the posts asking what camera is best. What someone should ask themselves is how can I take decent photographs. You can run out and buy the top line DSLR but if you dont understand anything about photography its like buying $2000 golf clubs when you shoot 105 on your local course. Youre going to look cool but the results will be the same. Here are some photos taken with a low end digital point and shoot(3mp) from awhile ago. They cant compare with DSLR but I think they are more than enough for what the everday guy is after when taking pics. Sure I have upgraded( still point and shoot but high end with full manual controls) but only after I learned a little and grew with my abilities. Best of luck to all.

I'm sure everybody feels justified in the purchases they make.

Brad,

Obviously reading comprehension is not one of your stronger points. I will explain this in the simplest of terms so you might understand me. I was in no way putting anyone down for buying high end(relative to ones budget) set ups. I have one myself. What I was trying to convey(to people new to photography) was that you dont have to spend a ton of money to get decent photographs. That was it. Take care.

And your mind-reading capabilities are very impressive.

I'm still glad you like your clubs.
