"bleeding mouth" transluscent

pdragon1 Mar 31, 2006 02:10 PM

This is a head shot of one of my older female trans. I origionally held on to her because of this red/orange pigment around her mouth. She was shedding at the time of this photo. Thanks, Josh

Wow, very cool...Do you think that's the scales that are not being effected by the translucent gene? I also wanted to ask you since I have only a translucent and you deal a lot with adult hets. Are there any differences in the hets compared to a normal or do they look exactly like a regular beardie? I know a het is a het but in some morphs you can kind of see a difference in them. Thanks and as usual keep up the fabulous work.

Here is a pic of a couple of double het for hypopastel and transluscent dragons. They look just like normals. If you look at them closely, they don't really have much white. These double hets are the parents of those "little or no white" hypotrans that I previously posted. A small percentage of double hets do look washed out as adults like het hypopastels. As far as the "bleeding mouth" female, I don't exactly know what causes it. Maybe it has no white to cover the orange. Thanks, Josh
