First of the year

With all the unseasonably warm weather we've been having around here, I would have thought this would have happened earlier: go figure.
Anyway, the first turtle of the year is awake and out and about: it's the same large male that was up first last year, too.
Spring has sprung in central Virginia!

Up here in Jersey I have not seen any boxies out of hibernation yet. Have been hiking alot the last couple weeks and have only seen spotters, paints, and redbellies. Guess it has to get a little bit warmer more consistent in the 70's.
