Here is a fuzzy but cool pic of my frilled dragon, Willow. As you can see, she really hates having her picture taken! I know she isn't a beardie, but she is a dragon

I was always curious how they are with being handled?? They look real meen with that big flare and all, and look like they could be a bit more tempermental like an iguana.

ALL of my dragons are held daily. I have some that "ask" for attention every evening. Usually between 5 - 6 pm. My children help me with my dragons and they love it (Both the dragons and the kids)
Yeah they can look "big and bad" when they flare up, but it is just mainly show.
I have only ever been bitten once and that was hand feeding one day.... I have had ant bites that hurt more haha

my brother and I have two...
they are very tame cause we handle them very regularly... they grow to be a lil bigger than beardies... but are amazing creatures... if treated right they can be as tame as beardies...
our Frills rarly frill out. Thye love to be held... but keep in mind they are very fast so I suggest handling them in a closed room. Ours have jumped form time to time righ tout of our hands and on to the floor with no problem... they are very curious creatures and like to explore.

I always wondered about them. I Would see them at reptile shows all the time, but never had the chance to hold one. They seem like a real cool reptile to own. For right now I got my hands full, and my apartment full of beardies lol. I Love beardies. I got 8 right now 5 adults, and 3 babies I bought this past season. Ohh, can't forget the 4 and a half foot Iguana that I keep at mom's house. Wish I had the room to bring the iguana here, but he's got a huge cage there that can't be moved, and my mom spoils him anyway. Sometimes the Iguana can get tempermental around breeding season. I thought frills reacted like them. Thanks for the info.

For the most part, the frill is a bluff. Willow is a sweetheart and loves to be handled, but for some reason, she really, really hates the camera and it's a sure way for me to get her to display her frill. I have 2 frillies and have never been bitten by either of them, their temperament all depends on how they are raised. If you handle them alot when they are babies, they will trust you and can be as sweet as a beardie. As someone else stated, they are extremely fast and can run on just their hind legs, so if they decide they want to be somewhere else, look out! All in all they are wonderful lizards and a joy to have around. Christy

heres a pic of my old little guy, c.b.b in cali. I dont have him anymore though.

nate
Did you get him from James Tuttle? I got one frillie that I got from him, Willow was also bred by someone in Cali, but I'm not sure who produced her as she had quite a few homes before I got her. Christy
