What if......

What if, we can train our boa to eat beef as a suppliment to rodents. I saw it on the Discovery Chanel, that in India the feed their captive cobra on a diet of beef and cow's heart. It will be much cheaper and easyer to obtain beef then rodent. What do you think? Should we give it a try or just stick with our rodents?

you got your animal to feed on meat or whatever , it would definately suffer from a deficiency sooner or later. Dont forget that alot of nutrition is in the gut of the animal most carnivored feed on . Look at when Lions, tigers, wolves etc etc make a kill. !st thing most go for right away is the softer meat around the stomach and then go directly for the stomach and other softer parts of the insides. And what is in the inside of the gut of most prey items ? Think about what rats , dfeer , rabbits eat Even in dogfood for example. If dogfood was made solely of mean like most people would think would be better . It really isnt .. If a dog , cat , snake or whatever was fed solely on meat, chicken parts etc etc(protien), either animal would suffer a massive deficiency in no time(and not to mention the squirts from lack of fiber) Just keep your snakes on rodents IMO
