Food Ideas for B&W Argentines?

thesamuraigeisha Apr 01, 2006 10:09 AM

I have 2 Black and White Argentine Tegus, both about 10 months old. Of the 2 books I could find on Tegus, neither had detailed information on their diet. I want a list of specific things. What kinds of fruit are good? What about greens? Is fish OK? Live or cooked? I'm just looking for lists from others, things they've found works for them.

Currently, I feed mine everyday alternating chicken/superworms/canned puppy food with a couple of the following: Chinese cabbage (not regular cabbage), tomato, boiled egg, thawed frozen strawberries and fresh mango and pear whenever I have them. This is all sprinkled with ReptoLife plus from Tetra.

I don't have one, but I've been doing a lot of research on them. Check out the forums at www.thetegu.com. They have a lot of information and I don't think puppy food or cat food is a good idea. There's a thread rearding that subject.
