RI emergency

This is about my water dragon. I know this is the wrong forum, but the lizard people have not replied in a while, and I'm not sure how much longer my lizard will last like this.

I researched RI online, and apparently I need to take him to the vet. My vet is out of town, so they gave me the number to another vet who supposedly treats reptiles. They told me that I'd have to wait a long time since they were booked today, but I should come, and they'd see him when they could. When I got there, about 20 minutes later, they were closed. I've called a bunch of vets, but they either don't treat reptiles, or are closed until Monday.

We force fed the water dragon some crickets, and he ate them pretty willingly, but he refuses to eat on his own. One eye has puss or something building up in it and he keeps it closed most of the time. He sits with his mouth open quite a bit, and sometimes I can hear him breathing funny. From what I understand, those are classic signs of a respritory infection in a lizard.

At this point, going to the vet is apparently out of the question, since I can't find one. However, I have Baytril, which was prescribed to my kingsnake a couple months ago. Does anyone know if this can be used to treat a RI? If so, how much? Is there anything else I can do to at least keep him alive until my vet gets back on Tuesday?

I found a site that says Baytril is the drug to use on RI and gave the doseages. A few hours after his first dose, my water dragon is looking at LOT better and is eating on his own again. He's obviously pretty hungry.
