Females last meal, Febrary 12. OK?

markalan Apr 01, 2006 07:49 PM

I have a 100% het Female at 555 grams and she hasn't ate since February 12. She's in a rack style enclosure in a sterilite bin that's around 6" high x 10"wide and 16" lg. Her humidity's at 60, temps are at 85/90, waterbowl and newsprint for the bottom.
She might've lost 10 to 15 grams since Feb.
Thanks for the input, Mark

Yes, fasting is a natural and inevitable part of a ball python's life cycle. Don't sweat it... she'll go back on feed eventually.

I figured so. My Albino and Pastel are still munching out every week so i know that all BP's fast during the winter.
Thanks, Mark

I wouldn't worry about it. My albino male hasn't ate since Thanksgiving.

Don't worry, Balls are like that they eat when they want as long as she doesn't start looking skinny and dropping large amounts of weight she will be fine.
