I have read a few posts about people having a favorite place to go to look for snakes. Where is a good place to go and look for garters? There are plenty of dry woods around me. Some ponds, creeks and a few rivers. Where is the better place to go looking? Closer to the water? Out where it is dry? Closer a populated area?
Yeah, I know it's a dumb question. Is there an answer to it though?

The answer can vary. Where are you geographicly and what species of Garters are you looking for?

Oh, yeah. I forgot that part in my post. I'm in NW Florida. Around Fort Walton Beach-Crestview Area. Whatever species I could find.
