Big black ants for food source

Last year I was at Lake Skinner and there were XL Large black ants about 5/8 of an inch long every where, are these good food for the Horned Lizards?

I have seen them up here in N.Ca and have gathered some and fed them to my DHL's. I have spotted Coast Horned lizards in these areas and I assume they would eat these as well. They are bigger than the ones from AntsAlive!

The "black ants " in that area are most likely to be Messor pergandei . They should make good food for your lizards.
