I had another hookup tonight. My female amel and my male anery.
This was pre shed for her. She been out for over a month and no signs of shedding yet,so I decided to put her in with the male and within minutes they were hooked. Anyone ever seen that before the shed??

well, regardless if she has shed or not, the male can still "smell" the eggs. thats why the male flicks his tongue around her bottom area. the only probablem with breeding before shedding is sometimes the female can retain the sperm until SHE is ready. so you may get eggs later than usual. but theres no harm in breeding them again after the post brumation shed!!!
Well I usually hook them 3 times anyway so ill wait and see what happens....Thanks
