Cinny pieds?

Kingofspades Apr 02, 2006 01:34 AM

Has anyone made any cinny/pieds yet?
I only ask because I REALLY want to see a Super Cinny Pied.

Black and white with no pattern would rule above all.

We could call 'em Oreo balls. Haha.

they're called Zebra Balls and they haven't been made yet.

pastel pieds and lav albino pieds are the only publically known pied crosses thus far.

I can't wait until someone makes one. It'll be amazing.

Maybe this year...maybe not. Pied crosses have taken a long time considering pieds were proven in the mid-late 90s.

And seeing as they are a recessive trait and all...
You'd have to breed a pied to a cinny to get a cinny het. pied, then breed that to a pied to get a cinny pied, or just cross two cinny het pieds and hope for that 1:16 snake...

But man I can't wait to see one.

zebra balls, oreo balls, how about yin-yang balls?

johnavilla Apr 03, 2006 02:56 PM

Pied originally meant black and white wouldn't this be simmilar to the "true ghost" (axanthic X hypo) and be more aptly called a "true pied", or do you think that I am just over thinking this one?

I have Balls!

Yin yang ball was my first choice of names for this morph also. Zebra ball you think of stripes and a super cinny pied wont have stripes. And the oreo ball seems more fitting than the zebra but it sounds good enough to eat.

How can a morph that has not yet been produced already have a name? It shouldn't be assumed that these two morphs are even compatible.
I appreciate they probably are and that the result will be a brown/black and white snake...but we should surely wait and see?

I hereby name the cross either current or future of the pie bald ball python and cinnamon pastel ball python, the zebra ball.

lol

There that is how a snake that may or may not have been created yet can be named.

Nothing personal here, was just wondering how it is that you have the privilage to correct someone and claim a name to something that hasent been produced yet? Despite the obvious attraction of both names (oreo or zebra)?

Just a point in case-if it were me to produce them first (even though it wont be) I would name them whatever I choose and it would stick because thats the respect you earn when you present a new morph/combo. I might name it "the glass of milk and cookies" ball and what would you do then, tell me its called a Zebra?

I know I sound sarcastic but dont take it personaly. It is without intent to offend. I just thought it was a bit impulsive to see such a dominant claim to a snake that so far has no name.

Have a nice day.

Steve Roussis is already using that name for his Zebra Pastels. So I guess it will have to be something besides the Zebra ball.

Let the race to produce the first cinny-pied begin!

I think I'd call it cow-print

coldthumb Apr 03, 2006 02:28 PM

hey, that's better than... say...cow pie.
