there is a strong possibility that this blood is of malaysian origin. No way to prove it for certain however. Great body weight and color.

Thanks Kelly.He was sold to me as a Sumatran.Like you said we will never know for sure.I'm totally interested what clues led you to say he was Malaysian? I can almost tell for sure if a blood is Banka Island or even half Banka.I am not yet schooled in the Malaysian veriant of Borongersmai.

many malaysian brongersmai show the combination of darker head coloration, tight small circular patterns from behind the neck quite a ways down the back, and the light silver-grey and white dripping coloration on the sides at the dark spots. When all of these characteristics are seen together it is a good indicator, but definitely does not mean 100%. I have seen sumatran brongersmai that also showed similar color and pattern.
