Digestion

zoeytheblood Apr 02, 2006 08:23 PM

Hello, I have had my blood for about 2 months now. She is about a foot and half long, in 20 gallon aquarium, and no I dont have a problem with humidity. The humidity is about 68-75% and the temp ranges from 78-92. She usually stays in her humidity box. She has defecated once since I have had her, and it was only the calcium remains of the bones. I have fed her atleast 5 times. She continues to eat regularly and is appears to be healthy. Is she constipated? Or is her metabolism that slow that it takes this long to digest? Just need to know if there is anything to worry about. Thank you

Nothing to worry about. I have had mine since October and he has only defecated twice. You will be shocked when he finally takes a dump, it will be HUGE!!!

Nothing to worry about.Bloods do not defecate nearly as often as other snake species, however they urinate a lot more than other species. What you have seen is urination. My bigg boy will defecate once every 2/3 months and urinate at least 4/5 times in that same span.
