I just got back from the vet and gave him his first dose of the neo-cal. His eyes are still not open - very distressing - but his color is light and I see his stripe on his side which I haven't seen for a few days - so I am hoping this is a good sign. I will keep him on the regimen that Liddy suggested and hope for the best.

When he "died" this morning I was going to take a photo (this may seem morbid but it is a record for future reference - for any of us!) but was too upset. Now I wish I had so I could show you what happened. Has anyone had a cham (or other herp) seem to die and not be dead? it wasn't just his color but when I touched him he fell on his side with his little legs stuck out and did not move a muscle! Glad I didn't put him in the fridge!

I suppose just the fact that he took such a serious and sudden downturn and somehow came out of it that he is a fighter. Of course it makes me wonder if I could have done more for Makeda...but I know I can't dwell on that. After he "died" I cried real hard for all three of them! I will certainly keep everyone posted!

lele and, once again, Bart

Yep, this can happen with all different kinds of lizards - chams included. There can be different reasons for it. I've done 'cpr' on an iguana before....
