D. auratus eggs, What should I do?

ericR Apr 02, 2006 11:49 PM

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a good web page that explains how to raise D. auratus eggs and tadpoles. I found 20 eggs in the dish under the co-co hut. They are all white now but 6 were black yesterday. Should I leave them in the tank for a couple days for the parents to watch over them and keep them moist? Lastly, where can I order food for tadpoles?

Thanks for any reply, ericR

The best site for info on caring for eggs and tads is: http://www.doylesdartden.com/Breeding.html

I leave all my eggs in the tank for 48 hours to give the male time to do his thing. More times than not the frogs have to "get things right" and I don't get any tads from the first clutch and sometimes more clutches.
