Any idea for this year?

LBenton Apr 03, 2006 12:03 PM

What will the TP&W presence be like out West in Alterna Counties? I would like to know who is in what county, and if they have any directives this year on enforcement.

I plan a mix of cruising and walking, plus with any luck some time on FM170 in Presidio County. I just want a quiet trip.

And if there has to be drama, I would just assume see it coming from a little farther out.

Lance,

You need to ride around with me, if we have anyone with lights flashing in our rearview............... we just hit the red button and within (no more than 3 seconds) we are at 150 mph.

Bill - email me sometime and tell everyone hello.

My only fear is that I will not be very patient with a TP&W official that ask me to the side of the road.

I am only trying to avoid the drama, not the hunt.

See you out that way... I will be out that way during the Last week of May / First week of June timeframe.

Gas should be about $3.00 / gal by then too. Somebody needs to go to jail if we have to spend that much.... But that is a tangent for another forum.

We were herping the Davis, Black Gap, and RR for seven solid nights, never saw hide nor hair of law enforcement (except for th Highway Patrol car that smashed a gorgeous suboc in Limpia Canyon!).....

Except for the little hit-n-run thing.

I honestly do not mind showing my license to LE, and even talking to them for a few minutes. But some of my past experiences have been bad... And I just want to go out, do no harm and have fun.

You will be fine. Nobody has bothered anyone. No problems. Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along...

A nice black alterna with bright orange in Sanderson would be nice. (Ric your East Sanderson Rocks).

BTW How much is it a night to stay in Sanderson these days. Lance and I spoke to the gentlemen at the Motel but I forgot to ask.

Take Care,

Steven
