croc hunting

ok every now and then I get bored and start watching hunting show. Well today on the show Tracks Across Africa, they were hunting nile crocs. it took 4 shots for these two blankety-blanks to feel comfortable with it being dead, although the first shot took the poor guys skull cap off along with a good portion of flesh and brain. Is this crap even legal? they were telling viewers how to recognize a large bull croc , etc...

hey, its greg. the caiman is doing great!

i once saw a show in florida showing the legal hunting of alligators on Lake Okeechobee(pretty sure it was this lake, this was many years ago). it was not as brutal, but they did pretty much nail every gator they saw. i think there is a sort of double standard when it comes to animals and what the public and media percieves as cruelty. crocodilians suffer due to the fact that they are large predators. i bet if the show had jackrabbit head being blown apart, there would be hell to pay. but because its a man-eater nile croc, its just "good TV". people suck sometimes. i hope the niles get some payback

Whether it's legal or not, it's pretty retarded. Hmmm, let's go hunt a big animal that barely moves with a big gun.

Why don't they go hunt for cows??? They're big and don't move either...
