Texas Box Turtle Survey

tex540 Apr 04, 2006 09:13 AM

Texas Parks and Wildlife has a program for people to report Box Turtle sightings in the state, www.tpwd.state.tx.us/learning/texas_nature_trackers/box_turtle_survey/ The last one I saw was an Ornate that was found in a neighborhood in north Austin two years ago.

The TPWD survey is state wide. If you hit the link I posted there is a form you can download to report a sighting. It is pretty detailed, so if you are going to be in the field I think it would be a good idea to print one and have it with you.
