Finally this happened to my Fly River turtle: he got a tiny whitish spot on his right eye, and some less obvious cloudy thing on the left eye, too. Could anyone recommend some effective cure, anything to treat the eyes directly? Right now I'm using Acraflavin. I ever heard of Cleanse before but don't know where to get it. Thanks a million!
I had the water checked: pH 8.4; no chlorine or chloramine or ammonia or nitrite; nitrate is about 40, hardness is 300, alkalinity is 300 ...... seems to be just fine. Actually about 2 mo ago there was some strange odor in the water, but since it's crystal clear I didn't pay enough attention. All my bad
(( Don't understand where the strange odor came from I just did a complete change of water. p.s., I have been using an Eheim Pro II filter, usually only add water every week and do a completely change every 5-6 mo. I also use Dr. Wellfish's salt. FYT's appetite is still good, and active, too.
