This is a picture of my new girl I got the other day from the pet shop. She looked a bit chunky when I got her and I was wondering about it so I asked if they had any idea if she was housed alone or with any other balls. They told me that she had been housed with another of the ones they had for sale when they got her and said it was a male.

I took this picture late last night and it really shows how fat she is. So, I am now wondering if I she is ovulating, gravid or just plain 'ole fat???? Any opinions? And, yes I know, it is only opinions. I will know shortly down the road which of the three it is.

Well, when did she last eat? i wouldn't say it is fat, to localized. Ovulating would be my guess or building for ovulation. Gravid, mine that are already Gravid are more evened out again, not having that large bulge. Mark it on the calander and if she is in shed in 14 - 20 days than wait another 30 for the eggs. I had one girl on the 18th I marked that maybe she is ovulating, looks like it could be and sure enough she is in shed today. So I figure 30 days or so after she sheds she'll lay.

I'll keep an eye on her and see if it is indeed an ovulation.
