Identify and possibly help me?

I have "adopted" 4 little critters that, as a never-before reptile owner, I have no clue what I am doing..

Two adorable little *newts* : I went to 3 different pet stores looking for at least something similar, however none of them even had 1 kind available. I have also looked online, but none seem to look like mine.. see the dilema I am in??! I am hoping someone here can give me some insight on some newt species or even just some good info websites, the ones I find are not helping me , mine are blackish with only a tiny it of red on their belly, and their bodies are only about 1 1/2 inches long.. Also curious how I would go about finding out if I am to expect having a billion tiny baby newts running around.. *cringe*

Two chinese fire bellied toads : I have found some info on these, and they seemed to wolf down about 8 small crickets a piece so I know they are eating well (they were neglected when I got them) now.

I am using 2 10 gallon tanks, half water half aquariam rocks with a few bigger rocks for hiding/sitting whatever, some plastic plants and the toads have a plastic hiding stump thing.. This is totally the way they came, and I did clean both tanks as they were filthy, but the poor buggers don't seem happy (frogs seem happier than newts, so I think I have them some-what under control)! Who thinks they can help a poor, clueless and brand-new reptile girl!?! Thank you!!

First of all, newts are amphibians, like toads.

Second, you almost 100% have Chinese Firebelly Newts (Cynops orientalis).

Do NOT Keep these with the toads. FBToads need higher, tropical temperatures, while FBNewts like it cooler.

A good caresheet can be found at http://www.caudata.org/cc/species/Cynops/C_orientalis.shtml

Good luck.
