Just out of curiosity

aberlour Apr 05, 2006 02:29 AM

What hybrids and Intergrades are people working on this year?

Just of of curiosity maybe you could also tell me:
If this is the first attempt your making with the pairing
If they are a hybrid x something else what generation you know or believe them to be.

Thanks

To start off, I have my cali/prairie hybrids that hatched out already, and they are f1's. Also, my male Dumeril's boa has tagged two of my female redtails, but I don't know if anything's going to happen with that. This next year is when it is all going to get interesting, though, as I'll have nelsoni x thayeri, thayeri x ruthveni, thayeri x alterna, and a whole slew of cali's and brooksi's crossing with probably hondos and sinaloans, and more cali x prairies. Not to mention the sumatran x ball's hopefully. It's going to be exciting around my place for the next year or two.

I hope so. What do you have going on this year? You seem far more experienced than I. I am but a learner. =)

i hope your being sarcastic, im not a breeder yet. i go to hybrid forums to learn about hybrids before i do them.

well my plans are to buy some african house snakes this summer and when my corns and house snakes are all of breeding age im going to try and make some corn/ house snake hybrids. i hope it works, if it doesnt ill trade my house snakes for a pair of something else like cal kings or bulls.

are you trying to tell me i act like a "know it all"? because i know that im not but i may sound like one. sorry if i am i will try not to be

Dont worry too much about it jake, iv read all your posts on hear and on two other hybrid sites, and my concluesion is that when you get started on some hybrid breedings you will come up trumps with something really different, i really hope you do.

I like your consistancy, And you ask all the things others are affraid to.

No, I really wasn't being sarcastic, I misread who had posted your message. I really didn't mean to come across as a jerk, or imply that you are a know it all. Mistaken Identitiy. I hope I have a lot going this year, but I too am sort of a beginner, so I dont' want to sound like a know it all myself.

mistakes happen, i wasnt trying to say you sounded like a jerk, i figured it was either a mistake or sarcasm.
