Ghost-Hogs....then...and now....>

LindaH Apr 05, 2006 04:00 AM

I love these guys I took some new pics of them earlier this evening. When I uploaded them to the KS gallery, I noticed a pic there from a year ago. Anyway...
Here's a pic of them from Feb '05

Here's two pics of them now...

Thanks for looking....

I would go as far to say they are probably my favorite hypo het anything I've ever seen, brilliant coloring and insanely clean.

All the boa fanatics should check out your collection, just the website design alone is worth a look.. These guys are perfect, and I don't think I've seen a pair of snakes poise in such cozy bliss.

LindaH Apr 05, 2006 05:19 AM

The website design cudos go to Gray Rushin. I think he did a great job. I didn't want a lot of bells and whistles, but I did want to try to incorporate some "Sierra" stuff in with the "Serpents". I think he put it together very nicely. Plus, I can do all the updates myself, add and remove pics, etc....too cool!

The snakes are basically legless puppies. Having been born here and as hapless victims of my affections, they are pretty content just hanging out

It's so nice to hear compliments on my babies. These are very special to me. I look forward to the day they produce some little ones of their own.

I know that both Hoggs and hypos color change throughout the day. I am curious to know how extreme the variations in color change is in this interesting combination. They certainly have nice color and I look foward to seeing the ghosts they produce.

Ok, that's better

Hi Bill - They were at their darkest in the two pics taken last night. Their dark phase is pretty much a deeper orange. Their lighter phase show a lot more pink and peach. Haha....they actually started out pretty light, but I needed to wash off some "newspaper nose" so I soaked them both a little before the pics. The cleaning and fiddling around getting the pics, made them both get veeeery orange. I'll have to sneak up on them some evening and grab some impromptu shots.

Nothing beats the color of a hypo hog. And that is one of the nicer pairs I've seen. Gorgeous animals. Like everyone else, I can't wait to see what their ghosts will look like.

Now Linda, quit being modest and admit it, everyone else did!

I still can't wait to see the Ghost version!

LindaH Apr 05, 2006 01:59 PM

All I know is I quietly beam with pride and love every time I see them. To me, that's what it's all about.

GREAT photos! That's probably one of the best "then and now" comparisions I have seen because I LOVE the pose! The comparison really strikes home when you are able to get them in the exact same pose in both photos!

Thanks,
Celia

I know what you mean. I took about 50 pics, and as always, I ended up with 4-5 I liked They kept wanting to hide their tails and I kept pulling them back out....and the pose just evolved. I'll have to try to catch them in their light phase, now, to show another comparison.
