Paul,

I use Pearlite and Spaghum Moss, yes. I used to use Vermiculite (which I still use mixed with spaghum in the layinig boxes) but I have noticed that if the vermiculite dries out it draws moisture out of the eggs from the bottom --- and you can't even tell until you turn the eggs over and see that they are caved in from the bottom.

I observe that the Pearlite stays moist but most of the water settles to the bottom of the incubation box; which is what I want.

The Marylands I got from you are doing fantastic. They are on fuzzies already (2 per week). I am going to put some updated shots of them up on my site really soon because they really are growing like craxy and turning into some super nice snakes.
