Congrats on the baby. I also just got a Beaded that I belive Steve bred. High yellow perfect little guy...or girl..lol. I have been keeping hots for nearly 12 years and this is my first Heloderm. Any advice or good links to captive care notes for these little jewels. Mine has already taken a fuzzy for me though I did have to dip it in egg. Don't ask me why it took so long to finally get a Helo. I can see adding a few more to my collection. I will post some pics soon and look forword to posting more on the Heloderm forum.

He is also spending a fair ammount of time in his water bowl. Not sure if that is normal or not..........Trey

Don't worry Trey, mine soak also. Dipped in egg? Mine took immediately to f/t pinks and now f/t fuzzies. But they like to do back flips, so watch out!

Great! Glad to hear that the soaking is not uncommon.Your right he is fiesty! Like all my hots I dont give them an inch unlike some who post them for sale in the classifieds section.I Think he might be a shy eater. I have left live fuzzys/ f/t fuzzys with him and he doesnt want anything to do with them. If I dip it in some egg yolk he throws them down right off the tongs. Not sure if thats a good metheod to to get him to eat(it just works for me). He did take a brained pink for me a few days ago though.Any links to good care articels would be great and any advice would be welcome.

Thanks

Hi Trey,
Thank you for the complement. Yes I did breed that lizard. Also both of the adults are very high color so expect it to get nicer with age.
Enjoy,
