The Sambava Showdown - Jokton v. Ka

2by2 Apr 05, 2006 10:43 PM

In the top corner we have Ka....at 11 months old he's showing some insane colors for me. As he should coming from a line like Casanova's. Casanova is his grandfather, Kabookieman is his father. Couldn't be happier with this guy.
And in the bottom corner we have Jokton.....hailing from Tyler's Loki line....he's proven to be THE MOST ridiculous Sambava I've ever had the pleasure of seeing...let alone owning...What can I say about him.....other than he's absolutely blinding!!!
I figured this was a cool pic and I had to share it with the world. It just wouldn't be fair to keep all this color to myself. lol. Enjoy!

He's probably just to scared to let any more males go.....LOL. Apparently there weren't to many males in the batch Jokton came out of....and besides, if I were him, I'd be sick to my stomach if I gave up a screamer like Jokton. Thats not to say I didn't bug Tyler to death in order to get him though. haha

Kudos to Tyler. This guy is killer, and he deserves all the credit in the world for producing this guy. I couldn't be happier!! Heres another shot.

Here's the proud daddy, crazy how similar they can look.... Noah was pretty dang persistent in stealing this guy from me.... I had him til he was about 8 or 9 months old if I remember right, and his "bidding" finally did the trick LOL.

Pictured below is what I came home to today. This is the final group from the same pairing (Loki/Mabel) that produced "Jokton." 13 out of the egg and counting. I also have some Loki kids that are between 2 and 6 weeks old now, with a few left from the clutch before that that I think I'm hanging on to (hoping for another Jokton). Babies running around all over the place here, I love it! This particular clutch was laid on March 9th, 2005. They incubated just short of 13 months.

Damn that is awesome. They take 13 months to hatch? It's a wonder these things aren't extinct yet. What kind are they?

2by2 Apr 06, 2006 06:59 PM

What can I say......You refused to sell me "the man" himself...so I had to have his kid! All I can say is I'm glad Sambava's take a little bit longer to start showing their full color range. I'm sure if he was showing these colors at 8 months when you sold him to me....my bet is it wouldn't have mattered how high I bid....you wouldn't have sold. Am I wrong??

Either way, I'm jelous of all the babies you just had hatch.....I can only hope the batch I have about ready to pop was passed some of this blazing color genetics that Loki's blood has proven to throw. Can't wait to see what comes out of it!
