Beautiful bloods!!!!! I do have a few questions, I am interested in keeping bloods and I see a black blood in there. My questions are: The other three bloods in the picture are they all the same locality but different color morphs? I really like the red ones in the picture, but I am confused on how I would obtain bloods that are the deep red in color. Also does the red color come in with age? I would like to find captive bloods that look like that, can anyone recommend some good breeders?
Best Regards,
Pete
The other three are all Python brongersmai...
the large male (top left) is of unknown locality, the Blonde female is also of unknown locality (both are probably sumatran or malaysian localities), the smaller red male was hand picked from Bangka islands and shipped here to Canada with papers.
its tough to say how to acquire a hatchling that will turn into a very red adult. Your best bet is to get a CB from very red parents, but even then, your not guaranteed a red snake, but the chances are greater...
Or just buy an already red adult or sub adult.
Forget about asking for localities as very few know the actual localities, and just assume them because of the parents colours or from previous sellers words, etc...
if they dont have collection data, localities means nothing in most instances...
breeders wise, i have seen some very beautiful babies produced by Dave and Tracy barker from VPI, but have been unable to acquire there stock due to living in Canada.
Good luck with your choice and remember, no matter what colour, you cant go wrong with a captive bred
