Skin problem

Garteaser4 Apr 06, 2006 12:10 AM

I have a blue beauty and i noticed something wrong with the her skin.. im not sure what it is its the first time ive ever noticed it. It looks like pieces of old shed stuck still on the bottom of her belly. it looks like the bottom scales are like crunched up i dunno its weird. i hold her every day and its the first time ive noticed this. i tried soakin her and seeing if they come off. but i was also wondering, i dunno this might be a stupid question but is it possible for a snakes body to grow to fast, and hence some scales get messed up? i dunno what it is but it looks like previous sheds still attatched but i find that weird because all her sheds look full. any suggestions?

sounds like Scale rot.
Rub neosporin on it, and keep the cage dry.

yeah i actually figured out what it was i went to the pet shop to a guy i know well and he knows a lot about snakes, it was due to the fact that moisture got under her shed, it wasnt scale rot yet but i got some of the shed eaze and applied that and removed most of the bad scales ill continue to do that for about a week or so...

but heres another problem, i tried feeding her today and she refused so im wondering if it has nething to do with that, its the first time its happened with her when she wasnt in blue phase, she just sat there and struck at the mouse every time it came close.. ne opinions on that?
