BCI male feeding question...

Hello everyone,
I am currently divided between buying a Blood Python and a Common Boa for a few reasons. One of which concerns the cost of feeding. What are you all feeding your common MALE boas? Are these guys taking large/jumbo rats more often than not or are small rabbits more commonly fed? Thanks for the input,
