Not that im an expert or anything (but you knew that already ) but that is going to be an incredible color. I love the blue that these guys get.

by the way, whats the difference between panthers and veiled?

Hello Jeff, Panthers and Veileds are two seperate species of Chameleons. Just as a Cornsnake and a Ball Python are different species of Snakes.

Panthers and Veileds are two of the more dominant species in the hobby and are more widely available.

hehe, no problem. I actually did not know that they were two different species a month ago when i first started researching chameleons.

lele Apr 06, 2006 04:16 PM

Yeah, I'm psyched. He is SO different than Luna was (veiled) in every way. he's a cruiser, she was a sitter; he's a hunter, she was a cup feeder; she was always shades of greens and then the blue/salmon when gravid, he - well, I never know!! But one color I have NOT seen is green! lol!

The care b/t the tow is similar. www.adhcam.com has a section on species profiles you might find interesting. chameleonnews.com has several articles, too.

What a beaut he is! Our babies are growing up together...I read down to another post on this topic...it is funny how you described the difference between panthers and veiled. Squig is pretty laid back....as long as I don't come near!

We'll keep the baby photo's coming!
