Suris

chad-erin Apr 06, 2006 03:16 PM

I have been hunting everywhere and just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I would like to have a Suri. that is RED,not one that will turn the light tan or yellow color. I would like to see a little purple too in the saddles. I could care less if they a major peaked or what not I just want the color. Oh and it has to be CLEAN. A few speckles here and there is fine but I don't want one that will be all black from it. I know I'm being quite picky but I don't want to settle for just anything. I have seen them out there and know they exist. So my questions are where would I find these awesome Suris., and do they all tend to start off gray then turn red as they get older? Maybe that is my problem. I'm tring to find red babies when their color doesn't relly come in until they get bigger. Please help. Will I be able to know which baby will turn red. I would be very thankful for any info or breeder name you could offer that produces what I am looking for. Sorry for the long post but I've been tring for so long to find my special Suri. and I'm just getting frustrated now. =)
Erin
P.S I had to add in my pretty boy.

Try Barry Miller, he has a few like that but the nice ones he usually keeps for him self. But maybe you are lucky.
here a head shot of my male, and again picture quality is really bad but you could get an idea of what he looks like.
Good luck finding one,

though many are born with noticeable color. The color develops with age. The development of color is accelerated with frequent feedings. The one shown is the most red I have seen for such a young age (6 months). She was from my 04' Mega Peaks litter.

I know SURIMANMAN has an awesome red suri. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what his plans are for him or how to get a hold of him. The other person that comes to mind is LAURAV. She has a very red wild caught suri and I know she is looking for a mate for her now. Hope this helps.

Here are my females from a W.C. mother.I did not breed these. One of the girls goes through a OUTRAGEOUSE tranformation while in dark phase. She turns bright RUST RED then back to a purple/greyish color.I would've never guessed that she had the capacity to turn into such a stunning red color by looking at her.She is actually a purple/grey color. The flash just washes her out.Should be interesting if she turns red as a adult.Hope this helps.
