i had a heck of a time catching this little guy, hes black with yellow underbelly, three stripes down his back, the middle is orange and the two outside stripes are checkered and sort of blend into the belly. he is 6-7" long and a little more than ahalf inch wide at his mid point, i assume its either a common garter or western ribboned snake.
my question for u is this, i have had a snake of the same species and size, and was able to catch it in wild and handle it easily without bites, this new snake is a horribly bad biter, he bites almost every time i go to pick him up, is there a way to get him used to being handled without getting bit all the time? hes very spazzed out and jittery, his name is Michael J. Fox. also, i have been feeding it small wild frogs that are as wide as he/she is, is this live bullfrog feeding good for the snake or do i need to get some minnows/earthworms/crickets to add in with his diet? some help would be most appreciated
