Help my ball python is changing colors!!

Hi I just wanted to know if it was normal for a Ball Python to change colors? He started out as the Normal colors but sense his last shed he is turning almost Gold in color with now very distinct markings. If this is normal just let me know, I can e mail you photos of befor and after.
