WEEK IN REVIEW!!!!!!!

toshamc Apr 07, 2006 02:48 PM

WIR is going to be short and sweet this week – last night while running around the backyard with my kids I slipped on some wet concrete and knocked myself out cold. After spending half the night in the ER I came home with a concussion and I’m still seeing starts, auras and flashing/streaking lights – fun - reminds me of college. Aside from not being able to see clearly and being dizzy and nauseous I’ll do the best I can. LOL - besides a majority of the threads this week had little to do with BPs and more to do with getting to know our fellow herpers and finding true love outside the snake room, etc, etc.

Snake sitters – the good, the bad and the “they would have been better off turned loose in the yard to fend for themselves” ….

Big thank you to Bill for the defective hatchling – he is an ugly bugger but doing well – I’ve instructed the other snakes to play nice and not to laugh, I’m sure he’ll be happy in his new home! LOL – Great story man! Defective hatchling for Tosha

DYI Racks - these are sweet – got plans?

If I read that correct, then thats a nice strat tosha, not to mention the rest of the gear. (If not tosha, then who ever it belongs to) Oh yeah, nice snakes too!! Great job this week.

~Johnny

toshamc Apr 07, 2006 04:29 PM

Strat and Martin belong to Hubby - drums belong to whom ever is sitting on the thrown - usually my 4 year old - or whomever comes over to jam - once in a blue moon me. Snakes follow the same rule - whomever is holding them at the time - albino still answers to "My Snake".

Thanks for the kind words!

4 year old drummer? Good to hear. Afterall, studies show kids who play an instrument tend to score higher in math and science. Math I can see, with the counting involved in instrumentation. But as for science, I don't necessarily see the connection.

Drummer jokes anyone?

What do you caller a drummer without a girlfriend?
Homeless.

Why do drummers join bands?
To hang out with musicians.

What's the difference between a drummer and a large pizza?
A large pizza can feed a family of four.
Ba-dump-dump-chinnnnnng!

Thanks for your WIRs, Tosha. I check the forum everyday, and still manage to miss some good photos.

PS: Don't forget to hug your drummer today.

For christmas I pitched in and bought my 3.5 year old nephew a new set of drums. He loves them and actually seems to have some natural rhythm.

LOL - Yeah - I love the PRS - which is why I told you not to trade yours for no silly snake

Was going to buy the PRS for Hubby for his B-day a couple of years ago - but he decided he wanted the new Protools for his studio instead. Will probably get him a PRS this year for x-mas. I don't care much for the Martin it's neck is too thick for me. The Fender is sweet tho - nice feel, good sound!

Oh Yea, I love my PRS and I think I am about to trade a few of my cheaper guitars for another PRS, one of the new ones. I am in no way Knocking Martins or Fender, I like all guitars but the PRS's sound is nice. I am mainly into the Rock sound and now days the bands are playing a lot of PRS's. I don't think I have ever owned a FENDER strat, played a few and I am thinking on getting a nice one but I need to get rid of some of my guitars before getting new ones. LOL. Its a disease, I cannot have enough guitars. I actually have a Martin Backpacker, It's the little mini guitar. It sounds really nice for a guitar so small. Thanks david

jarskie Apr 09, 2006 06:03 PM

I have played on a martin backpacker (a friends of mine), even thought about getting one when I was on active duty. Personally, I play a lot more unplugged stuff so I stick to a good acoustic. A nice tack does it for me, Im not too picky, haha. Anyways, good to see that there are some other musicians on this board. Take it easy,

~Johnny

As funny as those jokes were, they almost hurt in a way.

I'll have to add some of those to my 'drummer joke repertoire'. Some day I'll go a google search for 'drummer jokes'. There must be thousands of them out there.

Not completely a drummer joke, and you've likely heard it before...
