More mating pictures Maryland x Alb

When it rains it pours, I find myself in the position of having my albino male going into shed when the females are ready . So I put the Maryland male in with a first year female and they've been locked for about 4 hours. Have any of you cycled a male 2 days in a row? I don't think there should be a problem with fertility but I'm not a long time breeder.

The following pair are 2 animals I acquired as a possible het male eastern (intergrade at best) and a female albino eastern (floridana), these came as part of a group and the rest are more in keeping with the NERD line albinos. Anywho, I paired them together tonight and took a couple of close-ups that illustrate why I call these two floridana notice her orange ticking and his head and neck has the classic mahogany color on some scales. What do you think?

.....but that male sure could have fooled me as pure eastern.

I was almost fooled, but something about the male didn't seem right. It wasn't until I took some macro shots that I noticed the brown speckles on the head and neck. Both of these are great feeders and are otherwise excellent snakes they just aren't easterns. I'll sell any offspring for a reduced/nominal price and will not include them with my eastern group. It was nice to see two first timers lock up within a few minutes.

I'm still up for field herping, I'll be spending alot of time along MD 175 through Ft Meade this summer so hopefully I can find a few more Maryland kings to photo. All the places I went to in southern Montgomery Co were a bust except one area along 7 locks Road near Snake Den Branch (gotta love that name).

Hey BoB
Have you ever collected in southern MD ...Maybe it's just me but I think they have the best eastern kings in the state if not there range true classic blk and white colors

DRE, mostly I take photos I've only kept one snake from the wild, my Montgomery County male everything else is cb. I've spent a bunch of time in the field near Prince Frederick in Culvert..er..Calvert County and I have a project on 40 acres near Dunkirk but other than those ..nada.
