Thats one of the nicest tigers I have ever seen, looks priceless to me! By the way, I looked at Prehistoric pet's and Bob Clark's web sites and they both want $1500.00 ea. for tiger hets.
Thanks, Todd Dyer
That may very well be,. but you can bet that the ones for sale do not look like this "shameless plug" example animal.

Come on down to see for yourself our breeding facility, breeding stock and inventory including Albino tigers, our patternless/striped retic and all the other one-of-a-kind pythons in our retic program. Your right, Bob has some OUTSTANDING retics, where do you think we got our founder stock from? We are proud of the animals we produce here, and would put them up against anything else produced in captivity.
Please come by the shop and check us out.

So you got me there. That's a good point. But I did get an adult tiger het albino from him for 2k. That's what I was basing my statement on.

I talked to Jay at Prehistoric pets for a long time, and all most of his tigers and albinos were hand picked from bob clarks as babies. So there pretty much the same line. Also, Jay took the best of the best to make his tiger hets and albino tigers. We all know how much rare striped tigers are from the normal classic pattern, and look how many albino tigers of Prehistoric pets albino tigers are stripped. I saw NERDs 2002 tiger hets, and they didnt even compare to Prehistorics. I owned one of Wilbanks tigers, and still not even close to the same color and pattern comparison. Look at this other female tiger het I got from Prehistoric, it has a yellow head. This is the only tiger I seen like this. Im glad I paid a little bit more last year for 2002s and bought from Jay, because Im amazed on how awsome looking these tigers are. I know Bob is a great guy and king of the bussiness. But because he is Bob clark, doest mean he automaticly has the best animals around. Its best to not keep your eyes open, and be sure to ask what the sell guarentees.
Great job on raising them up, I'm sure they are unrelated, because Jay has the stock to do that ,At no extra charge,it's the best way to sell the best animals,.Good choice on your part,.best of luck!!
My 1.2 group of tiger hets are being offered on the classifieds. I hate to sell these, but new job forces out of hobby. The male, which is not pictured is completely stripped.
I have two females with yellow heads and one with an almost WHITE head, but that doesn't mean that EVERY tiger Bob sells will have those colors. So not every tiger from prehistoric will have a yellow head. And, it's impossible to tell when they are babies what their colors will be anyways. Besides, I seriously don't think prehistoric have the same kind of service and guarantees that Bob does. I mean, to each their own, but Bob has always been above and beyond when it comes to service and care. Plus, he doesn't have mites on his snakes and I have heard from scores of people that bought from prehistoric that they are loaded with them. So I will stay away from there. My choice, right?

The ones with the yellow heads. thanks..
PS: the password thing here just to post was a bad idea in my opinion. It was so much easier just posting. Now like 2/3rds of what I want to say dont get on these boards.
Just give me a few days to upload some fresh pics.
And I know what you mean about the password crap. Nowadays I always copy what I wrote prior to hitting "submit post" just in case it asks me for my password again and loses my text. This way I simply paste it back into another reply.

If you are looking for a nice looking normal Tiger, I agree that the striped may be the way to go. If you want a spectacular Albino Tiger, I believe that the classic pattern will be the best. A darker animal translates to a brighter Albino. In my opinion, the classic patterned, purple Albino Tigers will be what everyone is after because they will be the best. The classic pattern is more interesting because there is more going on in the pattern. There is more contrast and black in a classic pattern. The black will be purple or lavender. Wait until a really nice Purple Classic pattern is produced, then decide for yourself. Bottom line, there is something for everyone. I have some of the striped hets this year as well. If you disagree and prefer the striped Tiger Albinos, then those are the ones you should get.
I couldn't have said it better myself. I wasn't even thinking about the "dark becomes light" factor. What a perfect point. And 95% of everyone I talk to in person and otherwise do either prefer the normal albinos, or a tiger with a busier pattern.
By the way,.. I love that big girl I got from you,.. but MAN,.. she is in league with the devil she is. Crazy snake. She will appear otherwise calm and relaxed and suddenly get her sneak on and try to take my face off. I still love her all the same, but she sure as hell has my respect. Her name is "Hellther" (Heather) by the way. (Originally thought up to relate the "het" content).

Isn't a lot of the pattern type determined by incubation temps? Has there been any correlation made between striped parents and striped babies? I too agree that the classic patterns will make much better albinos (I also think the classic tigers are nicer than the striped). If I wanted a striped pattern I would just go with a super tiger or a super tiger albino...

That is going to make some AWESOME albino tigers if it can pass on that pattern to some of them.
Very nice.
Bonus Het for Albino cool...Prehistoric has some awsome animals ,they are a top breeder.I guess you pay for what you get.
