"Snake Hunter" TV Show

reako45 Apr 08, 2006 02:37 PM

Did anyone watch this show on National Geographic? It had Romulus Whitaker, the guy who works w/ King Cobras in India going through American swamp, forest and desert snake habitats.
I was glad to see him profile the Pine Snake in the forest habitat segment. I've always thought snakes of the genus Pituophis were often overlooked whe compared with the other native American colubrids established in the pet trade.

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper stored up acorns for winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched tv. And then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus stole all his acorns, and he got a race car. Is any of this sinking in?
