I know what it's supposed to be (assuming an A.piscivorous) but did you get that snake out for better pics??
Something doesn't look right. Eyes, pattern. etc.
Almost looks to be a water but I've very rarely seen one with his mouth agape.
I can't enlarge the pic well so maybe I'm seeing something that's not there?
At any rate a nice snake.

This is actually a fake snake (the most realistic-looking one I have seen, to date).

This picture was taken during the Florida kingsnake surveys I have been involved with -- this set-up (with the snake almost completely concealed) was VERY effective in scaring the **** out of one of the (female) survey participants!

I waited until the entire group had gone a few hours without any sightings (so the "snow-blind" affect from staring at grass & weeds for that length of time would enhance the result) and placed the snake in the very narrow top of ditchbank area we had to walk in for this survey work (so if it wasn't seen "in time", it would have been stepped on!)

I know -- evil, twisted, etc., etc., -- but well worth it for the reaction it generated!
