YEARLING EBT OUTDOORS?

JEREMYLTOWN Apr 09, 2006 12:06 PM

Would my eastern box yearling grow faster if I put him in an outdoor encloure in my vegatable garden?I'm in SE PA and daytime temps avg in the 60's nights are still in the 40's so I was thinking of putting him out in May.Now he's in a 20L hiding in moistoned spaghnum moss and I soak him every day and drop some reptomin floating sticks in which he loves as well as worms and small slugs. No interest in fruits or veggies yet.I just wish he would grow faster.

I feel like being outdoors where they can bask in natural sunlight in the early morning is always a good thing for any reptile.
Being small though you'd need to be very careful about keeping him safe from birds, cats, other predators.
If you would be able to have him/her penned with a top on the pen to keep other animals out, then it's a good idea.
