I probed!

phiber_optikx Apr 09, 2006 06:42 PM

Everyone probed correctly. I am 80% sure on Chunk because I started getting pretty deep and then he musked me. Nothing quite as scary as seing a LOT of musk fly out from about 2" in front of your face. Probing is not that difficult. I am no expert yet but I was able to get them all done. On the females It took around 4 minutes just to insert. I was kind of nervous though because after I finally did get it inserted they would jerk their tail and ram it into themselves. No deaths though

Kathy recommends having a second person to hold the snakes. Sounds like it might be good advice. i almost got a probe set at the show, but haven't got the courage up enough to try.lol

I don't have a helper.
They can get "squiggly"
I usually hold their tail with my left hand, the probe in my right hand and as much of their body as possible between my legs.
