My first trip out this year and it was a pretty productive half hour. Saw countless lizards including 1 collard, a few fence lizards and several skinks (I think the one I got a pic of is a 5 lined any input?) 2 western worm snakes. I got a pic of one but the other got away. Man can they dig fast! The one that got away was probably 6"-7". And what I believe to be a western earth snake. Can someone give me a posative I.D.? It was completely patternless with plain brown color. I didn't get a great look but I believe the stomach was white and patternless. The pics aren't great. I forgot my camera and ended up using a friends. I was very surprised to not find any ring neck snakes. Enjoy!

if it is a "five lined skink" aka blue tailed skink it would have to be a female. the males have bright blue tails same with babies. but congrats on your catch!

I went herping today in central MO (Columbia) and had a good day. Found a baby garter and about 30 baby prairie ringnecks. The garter baby was in very bad shape with alot of scars and alot of the baby ringnecks had alot of bumps all over them. Saw many 5 lined skinks and a couple Swifts. It was very nice to see snakes back out.
