Yea i watched it. its not a new show tho because i have seen it before a few months ago. I think that if nothing else it sheds a light on what and what not to do. I think that it also shows people the force of these awesome animals. I think that people that first get into python keeping dont realize what a 12 foot snake is capable of. I hear so many people especially younger people talk about getting a retic or large boa etc and they really dont grasp that yes there can be times when you put yourself or your snake in harms way. It wasnt a bad show i suppose. It was sad to see that one guys python getting killed over some dumb crap. I suppose Im not the best person on KS to be saying anything at this point as the only reps i currently own are 2 leo geckos but her in the next two months or whenever there ready i plan on getting a Ball from a breeder up in denver that i am really excited about. Anywho it wasnt a bad show and if nothing else the people that watched it got some good tips on how to get a python off of them if they ever get caught in the "big squeeze"! lol

I also have seen this show before, I agree that it shows some of the things not to do but it really shows how ignorant people can be when owning a large constrictor. I have owned some pretty large snakes my largest being a 19'.5" retic and multiple 12'-16' burms without any problems[ knock on wood ] but I also take precautions and don't be foolish about it either. I would never put half of my body in my burms enclosure to clean no matter how well I think I know the snake or take a pic with my infant sitting with my retic wraped around them But thats just me, there are the few that are careless and those are the storys that you see on TV or hear on the radio. Which puts all of us in the same catagory due to a few careless people. I am probably not the best person to respond to this, I strikes a nerve and I will ramble on forever. Thanks Erick

The best way to get a 20" snake off of you is not to get your self in that situation in the first place!!! But if it does happen I have found that a little wiskey in a spray bottle works great, I had put a male in with a large female for cage cleaning and for some reason the large female latched on to the male and started to tear skin. I got my little spray bottle of jack daniels and gave the female a few squirts in the mouth and she released right away, After rinsing her mouth out a little, everything was fine. After it was all said and done I gave myself a few squirts as well. Thanks Erick

It was a little sensationalist. For example, they claimed that anacondas actively hunt people. There is no evidence for this and as far as I know there has never been a confirmed case of any snake other than a retic eating a person. Over played on peoples fears. There were a few other things too but I am too exhausted to recall.

It was on animal channel and I just have this funny feeling that it scared people more then they already are. Yes it did give good info for those that do keep the large snakes like that. And what not to do. But to those that hate us in general because we keep snakes might have more fuel for there fires and making our hobby that more difficult. I have already seen 1 post asking if he will be in any danger from his snake after watching this show. That is why I posted here to see what you guys thought. And sorry Ron (Thebigsquease) did not mean to say you were on TV lol.
PS. The one thing I did not see is them pointing out the mistakes that they made and educating every one on the right way.
And this is my opinion Thanks Brian
