Minimum age weight for male Balls

dragonsnake Apr 10, 2006 01:29 AM

Does someone has some breeding data of the minimum weight and/or the age of male (pastel) ballpythons what have produced fertile eggs?

Some people says they can breed with 400 g. others are saying they need 700 g.

I´m probably not the only one with this question.

Please share your experiance with us.

Thank you very much in advance.

J.

Some males can and will successfully breed at 400 grams give or take unfortunately when males breed they also go off feed and 400 grams is not really enough fat reserves to do so. Yeah - you can breed some males little - but you can also end up breeding them into poor health or death.
