Here are three syspila that I caught on a single hillside. They are all nice, but the one in the back with the strange mottled red is incredible looking. All were released.

a big adult, first syspila of the year for me...

a 16" female...very clean with pinstripe black...

Not bad looking for a KS animal, but a wretch for a Wyandotte County snake...
Anyway- hope yall enjoyed...

Yes, those are both southern Illinois animals. That adult has a completely white belly.
