Someone should compile all these threads

I have been reading this forum for about a year now, religiously. I very seldom I do not see what’s up in the BP world on KS and even then I can wait for the WnR from Toshia. But I wonder if anyone has taken some of the most common questions and put together a website for the new owner of a bp? Something like a FAQ or something? I see a common trend in questions from the new owners and reasonably if a question arises you want answers ASAP, so those typical questions get asked over and over. Thankfully there are a lot of generous people who are willing to lend an ear and help those in need, but could we provide more information to these new owners where these repeated questions are stated and answered?
Just an idea.

I am actually in the process of putting together my website and above and beyond the typical caresheet it will have a FAQ page with the top 100 most frequently asked newbie quesitons. I was hoping to get some additional input from the other forum members because I want to be able to provide a varying degree of possible solutions to the variety of issues owners face. We all have our way and not every way works for every snake. It will be set up for easy access and understandability. Its a work in progress and wont be online for a few more months tho.

Sounds good to me! Maybe you could post it and continue to add to it as time goes on? Let us know when its online.

Kingsnake does have a FAQ/Caresheet section. Also, if you look at the very top of the ball python list of threads, there are two sticky posts, one is a link to ball python general information. Most of the forums now have these sticky posts.

The problem with these types of caresheets and FAQ pages is that they don't adequately provide a variety of troubleshooting techniques for the snakes. Mostly they just consist of general hubandry information and a single method (or maybe two) or writers favorite method of doing things. They rarely provide alternative solutions if that one particular on does not work.

Also KSs FAQ section is not broken down into easy to find/ read sections - it's just a list of random questions. Who wants to read through all those questions to find out their one question? LOL

The page I am putting together will have a main heading followed by links for each question. Under each link there will be as much information and troubleshooting techniques that we can come up with for that issue. Hopefully I will be able to continue updating this as new/more information arises. For example:

Feeding

- What sized so I feed
- F/T or Live
- Why wont my ball eat
- etc.
- African rats are they really the best method?

Housing

- What size cage
- What substrate
- etc.

I am hoping to get a lot of input from a lot of people here to help make this a useful tool and hopefully an easy reference like this will help elliminate all the multiple posts about the same topics over and over and over again. Kind of like the Hunters Guide except for hubandry.
