People with five reptiles still have plenty of questions and might not have all the answers...

I use a basic model hovabator (No fan) styromfoam incubator. Actually I have 2 of them running at any given time. Basically I calibrate it to 83 degrees because it will vary up and down a bit. I place 4 "gladware" containers in there, each has two small holes drilled in opposite corners of the lid. It is half filled with perlite and vermicite (Excuse my spelling) Basically I use a mix of 1 part water to 4 parts substrate and mix it well. (Just take 5 like cups and fill 4 with substrate and one with cooled water that has been boiled) I place these four containers inside the incubator, one in each corner and place a small dish of water in the center. I don't rely on the thermometer supplied and buy the digital type with a probe from walmart (less than $20) These also read the humidity level. I check the temp every day (Without opening the incubator) and I check the moisture level inside the tubs once a week. Usually I have to mist the inside of the gladware lids 3 times during the entire incubation period.

Hope this helps.
