World's largest croc?

JDT Apr 11, 2006 04:09 PM

I see different sites listing either Utan or Yai as the world's largest croc in captivity. So, which one is actually the largest? Also, awhile back on one of those PBS nature shows, they had done a story on a gigantic wild male croc named 'George'. This thing was friggin humongous! It would regulary even kill adult hippos. Do any of you remember how large this thing was?

dont forget about the legendary gustave... anyone have a tally
on the amount of people that he has supposed to have killed?
also, rumor has it that he has not been seen in some time...

has anyone heard anything?

I stand corrected. Gustave was the croc that I'd saw on tv. I'm not sure where in the hell that I got the name George from.

Yai is suppost to be the largest, it even hold the guiness record!

This crocodile was actually born and raised by a good friend of mine .... Yai is now on display at Alligator Adventure

Sorry, but this is wrong.
YAI is still at the Samutprakarn Farm. The specimen at Alligator Adventure is UTAN, which is supposed to be a bit smaller...but it is, of course, one huge crocodile....
