My female veiled cham finally looked ready for breeding, she's around 7 months old and started showing blue spots on her sides. So I put her in with my 30 month old male veiled cham. She saw him, turned beautiful colors, vibrant yellow stripes and dots, and instantly ran to him and climbed ontop of him...

He stood there for a few minutes and then shook her off and ran away, SHE chased him and climbed back ontop his back......finally he knocked her off again and as she climbed back on his back he got aggressive with her and she turned black and ugly so I took her out.

Anybody know waht's going on..?? She's turned normal colors since I put her back in her cage.

I really don't know what to say to that!!!LOL That is jsut the strangest thing ever! Usually it is vicea versa! Hmmmm trying introducing them again...

Did she gape, hiss or darken at him? Sounds normal for a really non-receptive female. they'll chase down males in order to teach them a lesson.

She turned vibrant colors and no gaping whatsoever. When she sees me she gapes and turns black but she was attracted to that male like crazy..

The male would shake her off and she'd chase him down again..kinda funny seeing the male trying to escape from her.
